We are very proud of two of our Mike Dolan & Associates team members, Donna Jenkins & Rhianna Quesada, for participating in the 10th Annual Big Bear Polar Plunge. The Polar Plunge took place on April 2nd at the Veterans Park and the girls were definitely “freezin’ for a reason.”
What is a Polar Plunge, you might ask? The Polar Plunge is a very special fundraiser that benefits the Special Olympics. Participants raise donations, wear fun costumes and run into FREEZING water. (The temperature of Big Bear Lake on April 2nd was a very cold 37 degrees)! This fundraiser is done all over the United States, including our little town of Big Bear. But just because we are little doesn’t mean we can’t do BIG things. This year was no exception, over $74,000 was raised by the Big Bear Polar Plunge Participants.
Our brave Realtors, Donna & Rhianna, were part of the “Peacocks” who shook their tail feathers and ran into the chilly waters to show their support for The Special Olympics. We could not be more proud of them. Not only did the brave the icy waters but they looked fabulous doing it (they got our vote for best costume)! Way to go, we can’t wait to see what they do next year.
