Big Bear is now in the Red Tier. San Bernardino County moved into the Red Tier on Sunday, March 14th after having been in the Purple Tier since August 2020.
What does this mean for local businesses in Big Bear? In the Red Tier, restaurants can now operate indoors at 25% capacity. The Big Bear Museum and the Big Bear Zoo can reopen at 25% capacity. Retailers can now operate at 50% capacity. Effective April 1, 2020, outdoor events can start to take place again at 20% capacity.
Precautions are still in place. Face masks need to be worn, social distancing must be practiced, hands need to be washed often and large gatherings should still be avoided. But we are glad to be able to “open up” a little more!
